Human Web is LessBother’s standalone browser project: keep normal browsing useful while removing or explaining the junk and pressure layered on top of it.

The browser is real. It is not public-ready yet.

The current build runs as an isolated Chromium/Brave-derived browser and has passed its own local quality gates. LessBother is still treating it as an internal alpha until the daily-driver reliability bar is cleared.

Mirror

Compare the commercial page you see with a temporary private Clean Twin that does not carry the normal profile’s site cookies or storage. A difference is reported as a difference—not automatically called deception.

Limit: the site may still see the same IP, device characteristics and broad location.

Truth View

Turn a shopping page into a neutral decision surface: visible price and reference price, shipping, returns, subscription language, commercial defaults, urgency claims and any Clean Twin differences.

It is an overlay. Closing it returns to the original page.

Three protection modes

Standard leaves page content alone. Human is the recommended everyday cleanup. Clean Slate is aggressive and also removes urgency/scarcity pressure, so it can change page layout.

The controls now explain this directly instead of making users guess.

Local by default

Mirror and Truth View are designed to work locally without a LessBother telemetry server. The private twin is temporary, closes after capture, and does not send arbitrary page text or form values to LessBother.

Normal browser compatibility still matters: tabs, login, checkout, CAPTCHA and consent controls get breakage protection.

LessBother is also building an evidence-first Media Check, starting with the question “Is this song AI?” It combines provenance, disclosures, metadata, release behavior and eventually audio signals instead of relying on one magic detector.

HUMAN AUTHENTICITY

Bot detection should look for coordination, not guess who has a soul.

The Human Trust Engine is now being built as a shared layer for product reviews and conversation networks. Review Trust already runs a local evidence analysis for bursts, repeated wording and recurring complaint patterns. The same engine is being extended toward Reddit-style reply clusters and manufactured consensus.
